My friend Jeremiah is in town visiting -- time to catch up over Khmer iced coffee with sweetened condensed milk and be tourists for several days! Today we went to the Royal Palace, and the part of my soul that deeply appreciates beauty and fine detail was struck again at the artistry of this side of the globe: the rich colors, the paintings and carvings, the mosaics and jewels. All that glitters is not gold, I know. But the dramatic and bedazzled nature of it all sure is stunning.
