Food carts are a big deal in the town I'm from. Portlanders have all their favorite lunch-break or late night snack spots in all corners of the city, where apparently over 200 food carts are flourishing. It's a whole culture of its own.
They're all the rage here too: fried noodles, fresh fruit, popcorn, roasted bananas, meat-sticks, corn-on-the-cob, and a bunch of things I have yet to identify. There is also another niche cart that's really making it in Phnom Penh - that maybe could catch on in other cart-loving cities: the hair clip cart
You never know when you might break a hair-tie or get a hang-nail and need a Hello Kitty scrunchie or guitar-shaped fingernail clippers in a pinch! :)
